Today we are celebrating 100,000 views for the Owl City fan music video we made back in January of this year! GoodPoint Media is looking for people in northern California who are interested in being in an upcoming action scene we will be shooting at a local hardware store. There will be lots of special effects and airsoft guns involved. (Of course, as a safety policy, we will not allow the presense of any airsoft ammunition on set, as well as enforce many other rules for the shoot to ensure everyone's safety.) We will be shooting this video during evenings next week and we are looking for people who'd like to be a part of the action. We need people who are very mature and can conduct themselves in a safe, responsible manner. We reserve the right to make the final decisions regarding the cast and overall project.

If you are interested in being a part of the shoot, here's what you do.

1. Send an email to contact@goodpointmedia.com

2. Indicate in the email that you are interested and your times of availability for evenings next week (June 27th - July 3rd)

3. Also, within the email, let us know if you can supply any of your own airsoft-gun props and/or realistic-looking armor/utility vests or other relevant costume parts

We all have a hero in our lives, those who mean so much more. Mine happens to be my dad. Whether it be our parents, our coaches, or our mentors, let's take some time and let them know how much they mean to us. Without them,we wouldn't be who we are today.

I recently had the awesome chance to work with music artist G-Vo on a quick music video for his upcoming album debut concert. It was an honor getting to learn so much from him and his feature, James Paek. G-Vo is now gearing up for his long-awaited concert to be held at USC in LA this month. Hey everyone,

I came across a certain video by a certain artist that I really want to share with you guys.

The artist's name is Gowe and the song is called "I Wonder". It's a truly beautiful piece of work, both the song and the music video. Both conceptually and musically.

I was really looking forward to making something special to welcome you guys to the new site but unfortunately my professors think I should make better use of my time by analyzing the geospatial patterns of cumulonimbus clouds. 

Haha I'm just kidding of course but I still want to welcome you to the new site by reminding you that GoodPoint is still fundraising for victims of the recent disasters in Japan, as well as for those unfortunate to find themselves victims of human-trafficking.

It's not the flashy in-with-a-bang kick-off I had originally envisioned, but in retrospect I feel this is a very fitting way to announce the new site. GoodPoint exists to make a difference and empower others; at the core it's not about the lights, camera, but it is about the action.

Our hearts and prayers go out to those affected by the unfolding events in Japan and similar situations around the world as well. If you are reading this, it means you have the luxury of time, safety, and resources to spend time on the internet. Please take a moment to think about those who are less fortunate - those who have seen their houses destroyed, or those who are unable to locate their families. Whether it be through GoodPoint Media's shirt sale or on your own directly to a charity of your choice, please find it in your heart to share some of the blessings in your life with those who are less fortunate.

All profits will go directly to World Vision, a world-wide charity organization currently on the ground serving those in Japan and around the world. I am super excited to announce that GoodPoint T-Shirts have finally been released!

When GoodPointMedia was started, my goal was to create a YouTube channel that promoted reaching out in positive ways. With this new T-Shirt project, we are partnering up with a company called Legacy Movement

Although they cost significantly more than other t-shirt companies (a couple times more), Freeset works to save women from the sex-trade by giving them jobs, health insurance, and most of all, their dignity to provide for themselves. Freeset unfortuantely only produces crew-neck (unisex) shirts but we also wanted to offer you the option for v-neck shirts as well, to also keep us from losing money on the Freeset shirts. Plus, the main purpose of this shirt-sale is not to make money but rather to take action in actually living out what GoodPoint Media was founded to do: positively impact people through media. This is just one example of how we can accomplish that and make a tangible difference around the world.

I was listening to the radio and "How To Save A Life" by The Fray was playing. If you don't already know, this was the song we used in GoodPoint's first big video project almost... 3 years ago! This project was actually where GoodPoint Media began. Here's to the good times. :)

After working on this project for almost 2 weeks, I am super excited to finally share this video with you. We made this video for you guys. Consider it a gift from GoodPoint Media to you. Happy 2011 everyone.

This fan music video is the very first project shot on my new camera (Canon EOS 60D) and we wanted to make something very special for you guys to enjoy. Owl City was one of my favorite artists in high school, and still is as a matter of fact! Just listening to his music brings back so many encouraging memories. Adam Young from Owl City is an incredible artist and all rights to this song belong to him and his label. Check out his music!

Adam says in his video "Road Stories" that "There has always been a mood that I want to convey via sound which is optimism." I believe that optimism and reaching out in positive ways is exactly what we strive to make GoodPoint Media stand for in the first place. We chose Owl City because no matter how high up the charts he goes, he stays true to his values and remembers why he makes music in the first place. 

That being said, we hope that this video brings a smile to your lips and encourages you in some way.
